You are not your parents!

If is always hard to break away from habit. It is the same for methods of parenting. Once you are used to the same routine, it can be difficult to attempt something new. 
You don't know if a method is effective if you don't try it. Parenting is all about learning and adapting. Some ways are more effective for some parents than others. Each child behaves differently. It is very important for us as parents to understand the differences in the way that our children act. By understanding, we can adapt to the situation and try to be prepared to deal with our child or children acting out. There are hundreds of life lessons we have learned through the years. Regardless, we don't have to use all the parenting methods, after all each child is different and you are not your parents. ♥ ~Jess
